Jasper is a curious young male cat available through Fairy Tails Rescue in western Maine.

He enjoys attention and play, while also valuing his independence.

A constant lap companion is not what his current profile promises.

His foster description says he can live with cats, but his more dominant manner may overwhelm a passive companion.

He has done well with dogs and cat-savvy children, with careful introductions and space to retreat.

Young children who chase or grab a cat would not be a comfortable match.

Jasper is neutered, vaccinated and listed with a $250 adoption fee.

Start with the rescue’s application and review its requirements before arranging a meeting.

The process includes reference checks and a home visit or meet-and-greet with household members and pets.

A Petfinder inquiry is not a substitute for that application.

His listing places him in Rumford; confirm the actual meeting location with the rescue.

For the right household, his blend of curiosity and independence could make a rewarding match.
